Overview – Weapons in 7 Days To Die
In 7 Days To Die, in order to survive, weapons are essential. These weapons are useful not just in handling and killing zombies but dealing with other players as well. There are 5 types of Weapons in 7D2D you can use to defend yourself.
Within these 5 types, weapons mainly belong to one of these 3 categories: Melee weapons, Ranged weapons and Explosive weapons. Melee and Ranged weapons are included in all weapon types in 7 Days To Die. Given below are details of the various weapons available in 7D2D.
Strength Weapons
Sledgehammers, Bats & Clubs
Sledgehammers provide the most single-hit melee damage. However, the drawback is the very slow speed of attack. It can cost you dearly if you miss the target. On the other hand, if want speed, as well as damage then Bats & Clubs, can help you out, especially early-game.

Shotguns
Shotguns are a good weapon option for dealing some damage when engaging in close-range combat. However, the power of the shotgun decreases as the distance from the target increases. Perception Weapons
Spears
Spears offer the largest range in a close-quarter fight. The ability to throw the spear further increases its attack range. However, this is not advisable, especially if it’s the only decent weapon you got. Spears are affected by the Javelin Master Perk.

Explosives
Explosives are an excellent way of dealing with multiple enemies at the same time. Using throwable explosives such as grenades you can easily take down multiple enemies. However, the drawback is that it gets consumed when used and you need to craft more explosives. Explosives are affected by the Demolitions Expert Perk. This perk also unlocks Mines.
Rifles
Rifles provide the largest range with the maximum damage per hit amongst all the weapons. However, the drawback is that it has low magazine capacity and it takes time to shoot. Rifles are affected by the Dead Eye Perk.

Knuckles
Knuckles are for a very small range and have low attack damage. But, if you are low on stamina and need something that is fast to attack with, then knuckles are the weapon the equip. This weapon is affected by The Brawler Perk.

Machine guns provide good attack damage and have a decent firing rate. Another advantage is that the magazine capacity of this medium-range weapon is the largest. Machine Guns are affected by the Machine Gunner Perk.

Agility Weapons
Knives
Knives are a low-range weapon that has little attack damage. However, it makes up for it with faster attack speed and by providing additional damage through debuffs like bleeding. You provide additional boosted damage on zombies who are unaware of you is attacked. Knives are affected by the Deep Cuts Perk.

Archery
Archery includes weapons Bows & Crossbows. These are good range weapons that can quietly take down enemies like zombies etc. However, after every shot, you need to reload which makes the attack speed slow. The Bows & Crossbows are affected by the Archery Perk.

Handguns and SMG-5
Handguns like the pistol offer a decent magazine capacity and a good attack speed along with high attack damage. The SMGs are similar, however these fire continuously upon clicking. SMG & Handgun fall is affected by the Gunslinger Perk.

Stun Batons
Stun Batons are a close-range weapon that doesn’t do much damage. But, they do make up for it by electrocuting and shocking zombies. It is easier to get away from stunned zombies! Stun Batons are affected by the Electrocutionaer Perk.

The Robotic Turrets are quite a unique defence system. It is portable and can be set to either automatic or can be manually used as a normal weapon.
